My database is busted. At the very least dates are flakey.
Topics for exploration:
My illness: how I’ve learned to manage it, the effects it has had in my life so far and more reflection. I realized, after disclosing to Yasmina, that I’m going about it all wrong. I’d like to explain why, and how I want to from now on. This should be good practice and I might even clear things up for some of you that aren’t in the know or are afraid to ask. This might become a seperate section in the site — but not how you might think.
Mission statement for the site. I moved to this domain for a reason and I haven’t gone into my motivations. I hope to also make a guide for myself as to what I will write about.
Substantial content. Hard to explain what I mean by that — even to myself. I’m not talking about blogs, here. This will be precise observation with processed and properly presented reflection, and mostly pseudo social science.
Ideas. I have a lot of them. I’m very protective of them. What say I throw them up for all to see. Maybe I’ll get some good feedback and more motivation to follow through on some of them. On that note, my proudest physical/mechanical project is in motion now. I am collaborating with AJ’s little brother, a smart kid, and good with science and CAD (Computer Aided Design).
In the same vein I plan to post more videos. I have this DV camera that we’re starting to play with. Right now the I’m figuring out how to film pool shots. There is some potential for making a developed movie out of it. But it’s nothing without unclipped shots. There is writing underway.
And perhaps I’ll share some of what I do with coaching and instruction with my audience and for my record. No one has really heard of any of that in detail.
Oh, and I definitely still want to consolidate all of my databases from previous installs of Textpattern, b2, Coranto, and Newspro. I have a lot of posts to archive. That’s a big project, though. It’s going to feel good to start and better to finish.
How’s that, Steve? Thanks for the kickinthebutt.
