Firstly, I won a simul match against the best player on my team. He was playing against about fifteen of us. The professor brought him in so he could practice. Mine was the only board to win. I’m improving.
But yeah, on the way back from playing in the Plaza tonight I caught a reflection of myself in the Metro glass. I had been looking up at one of the only ads in the ample backlit adspace, scheming and dropped my head down, grinning. I had never seen that face before — the plotting one.
Distrust.
I published an article at Newsvine. It’s a pretty big deal for me. If I’m going to improve my writing I’m going to need to be challenged. That crowd is going to have at me pretty soon (I hope).
Tomorrow I’m picking up the credential that declares me a Chilean citizen (temporarily), so that I can use my student visa to travel outside of the country.
It looks like some kids from the group are planning a trip to Iquique and San Pedro (the desert) for the big holiday coming soon. I hope it works out that I can join as those are some photos I need. It’s high time to get out of the city anyhow.
